Houston International Quilt Show

With a nickname “Granddaddy of Quilt Shows,” the International Quilt Show  has a lot to live up to. The setting for this immense show could not be out done; the mammoth George Brown Convention Center in downtown Houston towers over all the surrounding buildings. Inside, this building houses the largest quilt show found in one place.  The floor is full of hundreds of quilts, over a thousand vendors and many special exhibits; you need a map just to get around!

Our guests have told us they enjoy our stops at quilt stores and destinations on our way to the quilt shows.  We have two days to earn their praise on this tour!  We’ll stop at three quilt stores on our journey along with the famous Collins Street Bakery.

Things only get better when we get to Houston.  Our hotel is first class with 2-room suites and a hot breakfast waiting for us each morning!

Text Box: Day One, Tuesday: Our adventure takes us through Kansas City with a stop at a popular quilt store with rooms filled with fabric and wonderful displays. A fun restaurant is just around the corner. Food and fabric—our favorite kind of stop. Later this afternoon, we’ll stop and pickup our Arkansas group at friendly quilt store where the husband makes us dinner!. Tonight we overnight in Muskogee.
