Sew Great Tours is owned and operated by Nancy Thompson since 1993. The office is located in Nevada, Iowa 10 miles from the edge of Ames, Iowa, home to ISU. The Iowa tours depart from Ames/Des Moines with pickups along the way.
We specialize in tours catered to the quilter or seamstress. Our tours are usually quilt show destinations with a sprinkle of wonderful quilt stores and attractions along the way.
You will find that most of our tours have passengers from all over the USA. It’s not unusual for at least 6 different states to be represented by our passengers. We are always told that we have great personalities on our tours and that can only be said due to the genuine friendliness of our passengers.
